After the Blockbuster of Mersal, Thalapathy Vijay is going to be back on screen with a bang with his 62nd project. The untitled film is directed by AR Murugadoss and the shooting kick-started January 19 onwards. The ace director has confirmed the film will hit the screens for Diwali with just a simple social media post saying '#HappyDeepavali guys..💥💥'. That's how he annnounced during his earlier two films with actor Vijay too.

The pictures from the sets of the film are going viral right now and fans are in frenzy ever since. Diwali is one of the most coveted time to release films and now, with this announcement about Vijay 62, fans have a reason to look forward to the festival. The film is touted to be one mega project, produced by Sun Pictures. AR Rahman has joined the team as the music director and Jeyamohan will be penning dialogues, making it grander.
Keerthy Suresh will be playing Vijay’s heroine while Girish Gangatharan has been roped in as the cameraman with Sreekar Prasad coming on board as Editor. As per sources, the film’s crew will now shoot a few scenes and then start on some major back-to-back schedules February onwards to pack up by September. The team wants to make sure they have enough time for post production, to reshoot or add any scene later as an after thought and to plan the promotional campaigns for the big release.
Interestingly, Suriya’s next project with director Selvaraghavan, Suriya 36, is also slated for Diwali 2018. This will most likely be joined by Ajith’s next film with director Siva, also for Diwali release. Firecrackers at the box office for sure!
