Allegedly, the actress registered her high-end car using fake documents to evade the tax.The case relates to alleged tax evasion in registering her luxury vehicle at Puducherry under forged documents and evading tax to the tune of Rs 19 lakhs.
When the actress was interrogated for the first time, she had denied all the allegations that was raised against her relating to the fake registrationAmala Paul was firm on her statement that she had registered her luxury car when she was staying in Puducherry in a rented house. In the anticipatory bail plea filed in the High Court, the actress had reiterated the same. But the crime branch failed to believe the statement
There is a rumour doing the rounds that actress Amala Paul has been arrested by the Police in relation to an alleged tax evasion case. When we checked with the actress' manager, he denied the news saying it's false. He also added that Amala Paul is working today for a Malayalam film starring Prithviraj.
