Box Office:Padmaavat Wednesday Collection report.


Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Padmaavat finally released today at the box office. During the paid previews yesterday, the magnum opus earned around Rs 4 to 5 crore, the collections would have much better it wouldn’t had faced ban in four important states. Trade analyst Sumit Kadel shared the paid preview collections on his Twitter account, #Padmaavat Wednesday- 4.5-5 cr net (Paid preview ), collections got hit because of no screening in several states. Same scenario today as well, film will lose ₹ 8-10 cr today .” Unfortunately, the business of the film will also be affected today due to the continuous protests by Rajput Karni Sena.Made the humongous budget of Rs 180 crore including P and A, the makers later on spent around Rs 20 crore to convert the film in IMAX and 3D format. As per our trade experts, we are expecting the film to collect around Rs 25 to 30 crore today, which will indeed be a good start for the film. Since there is no big release in the coming week, the historical drama has 15 open days to perform at the box office. The film will also take the National holiday on January 26 (Republic Day), we are expecting it to cross the Rs 100 crore in its opening weekend itself.
Featuring Ranveer Singh, Deepika Padukone and Shahid Kapoor in key roles, the film is produced under the banner of Sanjay Leela Bhansali Productions and Viacom 18. The film is based on the 16th-century Sufi poet, Malik Muhammad Jayasi’s epic poem, Padmaavat. Apart from Hindi, the film is also released in Tamil and Telugu languages.
