The first thing that comes to mind when starting to listen to Yae Elumba Enni Enni is how awesome Vijay Sethupathi as a tribal leader is going to be. The song is made in a tribal feel, but except the lyrics, the music sounds pretty tame. The unironical self justification as "ethical" thieves is still fun!

Lamba Lamba is a functional EDM number that doesn’t care to keep its eccentricity low key. Rhythmic reverberations hold the song together to form a tightly stitched song. Justin seems to have a fetish for vocal grunts as it reappears as a motif in Yae Elumba Enni Enni as well. Not complaining, as this track is dynamic enough to allow such song elements. Femcee’s rap portions are not out of the world nor Christopher’s power spewing vocal box, however the combo seems to work out peculiarly. You begin understand that Justin wants us to open up ourselves to a different musical experience.

Hey Reengara is especially interesting due to its variety in vocals - a gruff voice crooning melodiously in contrast to a smooth female voice in a contemporary rock style, as a combination, is a nice idea. The modern youth will like this song!
Rakkozhi Koottalinga

Seeming like a theme song of sorts, Rakkozhi's (almost) trippy composition will work great with good speakers/headphones. It has influences of trance and dubstep, so new age music lovers can appreciate what Justin has gone for with the track.
Verdict: You will either hate it or love it. But do give it a chance, and be startled. A decent album from Justin that may gain traction with the visual complement of Vijay Sethupathi
